Payment reminders and overdue invoices

Intralyn reminds your customers before and after an invoice is due, and shows you what’s overdue on Home. You choose the timing, and on paid plans the wording.

Open Business settings

An invoice is Overdue when its due date has passed and it still has a balance. Home shows your overdue total under Needs your attention, and the Invoices list has an Overdue total at the top.

How reminders work

Payment reminders are on for every plan. By default a friendly reminder goes 3 days before an invoice is due, on the due date, and every 7 days after, up to 3 times. They’re emailed to your customer when email sending is set up for your account. Otherwise each one waits in Today on Home, where you send it with one tap using Email, Text or Copy message, then choose Done.

Change the timing or wording

  1. Open Business settings → Automations.

  2. Next to Payment reminders, choose Options.

  3. Set Days before, turn On the due date on or off, and set how often and how many times to remind When overdue.

  4. Edit the subject and message. Writing your own wording is included with Starter, Pro and Business.

  5. Choose Save automations.

Late fees

On Pro and Business, you can add an optional late fee, either a Flat amount or a Percent of balance, a set number of days after the due date. Late fees are off unless you turn them on.
