Open Time & mileage

Track time

  1. Open Time & mileage. On Timesheet, pick the Customer (and job, if you use jobs).

  2. Choose Start timer when you begin, and Stop & save when you finish. Or choose Add time to enter time you already worked.

  3. Billable time with a customer appears under Ready to bill.

Log a trip

  1. On the Mileage tab, choose Log a trip.

  2. Enter the date, miles and why you went. Tick Round trip to double the miles.

  3. Tick Bill this trip to the customer if they should pay for it.

  4. Choose Save trip. Intralyn estimates your deduction at the IRS rate for that date.

Bill time and miles

  1. Under Ready to bill, choose Create invoice for a customer.

  2. Choose what goes on the invoice. It’s saved as a draft so you can review it before sending.

Rates & settings

Set Your usual hourly rate, how the timer rounds (nearest minute, 6 minutes or 15 minutes), the IRS mileage rates and what you bill per mile. Each person’s own bill rate and cost come with Business.
